Brayden Joe Montoya turned 1 Aug. 10 and celebrated with family and friends at a party at the Provencal Community Center. Aug. 12. His theme was Rio. A lot of sweat and tears went into the decorating. He received tons of gifts and love too, but his favorite part was the cake! Brayden ate so much of it, he was bouncing and happy through the night. It was truly a special day, as many people stopped by to celebrate him turning 1. Happy Birthday wishes go out to Brayden and here’s wishing him many more.
Last week, I had Holly Mitchell bake one of her delicious cakes and then surprised Mary Harrigan with it for her birthday. Holly makes really good cakes and Mary and I enjoyed it immensely.
Bro. Ricky and Patsy Robertson celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary Saturday in Shreveport. They enjoyed shopping and eating at Longhorn Steak House. Happy anniversary to you two and here’s wishing you many more.

Brittany Grace Matkin enjoyed celebrating her birthday last weekend. She spent Friday night with a friend of hers in Shreveport and they went to dinner and a movie.
She met her parents, Bro. Roger and Connie, at Cavenders in Saturday morning where they bought her a new cowgirl hat and western shirt. She used the two gifts that night at a rodeo in Jena where she and JJ competed in barrels. They had a really good run. She said she asked him for 19 seconds but he gave her 18. She was so excited.
Then Sunday, after church, she, Bro. Roger, Connie, Brad, Kresha, Blake, Raegan, and Kenna Leigh ate at Trail Boss where her brother, Brad, and Kresha treated everyone to lunch. She also received nice gifts from them and from Blake, Raegan, and Kenna Leigh. Happy Birthday Brittany and congratulations on a great barrel run.
