A service to honor the life of Mr. Kim Cardell Poche’ was at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Ray officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Methodist Cemetery in Marthaville. The family received friends from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Kim, 61, and a resident of Montrose, passed away Sept. 5, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. He was born February 1, 1956 to Walter Poche’ Sr. and Audrey May (LaCaze) Poche’ in Natchitoches, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Blue Poche’; children, Nathan Poche’ and wife Rita of Campti, Candice Poche’ Watkins and husband Thomas of Montrose, Jason Poche’ of Natchitoches; and Jodie Poche’ Nichols and husband Nick of Boyce; brothers, Walter Poche’, Jr. and wife Kathleen, Luther “Burt” Poche’, Sr. and wife Brooksie, Ernest “Byron” Poche’ and wife Suzanne and Carroll Edward Poche’ and wife Kathy; a sister, Judy Poche Caufman and husband Dave; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 1 god child, Keith Poche’; sisters-in-law, Brenda Blue Baack and husband Martin, Connie Blue Beard and husband Dustin, and Debra Blue Long and husband Kenneth; brother-in-law, James Blue and wife Tammy; step-daughter, Kayla Blue and her children, Devontai Johnson and Preslee Blue; a step-son, Derek Nelson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include, Keith Poche’, Andrew Caufman, Shane LaCaze, Burt Poche’, Jr., Danny McComic, and Martin Baack. Honorary pallbearers will be C.E. Poche’ and Clyde LaCaze.
