Reservation deadline is next Wednesday, Sept. 27 for Northwestern State’s annual Kiwanis Kids’ Day festivities on Sept. 30 as the Demon football team hosts Southeastern Louisiana in a 6:30 p.m. Southland Conference contest at Turpin Stadium.

All school groups, Kiwanis groups, families and children are welcome to the event designed for youth in junior high school and younger children. Participation for the Kiwanis Kids’ Day activities, which begin at 3 p.m., carries a $5 fee per child that includes food and drink provided by Super 1 Foods and a game ticket. Members of Vic’s Kids’ Club are admitted free.

Kids and groups must be accompanied by an adult.

Reservations and payment can be made by check to NSU Athletics at 468 Caspari Street, Natchitoches, LA 71497 or by calling 318-357-4295, said Erica Conover, director of development and engagement for NSU Athletics.

Check-in on game day for Kiwanis Kids’ Day activities begins at 3 p.m. at the Donald’s Demon Alley Tailgating Zone near the Collins Family Pavilion. Food and drinks will be available. At 3:15, kids can watch the Demon Walk, as the NSU football team parades through the tailgating area.

Vic’s Funzone activities begin at 3:30 with inflatables including a bounce house, face painting and games, along with interaction with Vic the Demon mascot and the NSU cheerleaders.

At 6 o’clock, Kids’ Day participants will gather at the southeast gate of Turpin Stadium to prepare to take the field shortly before kickoff and form the runout tunnel for the Demon football team.
