Erika Jarlock of Covington was selected as the winner of the 60th Annual Miss Northwestern – Lady of the Bracelet Pageant held Saturday at Northwestern State University. Jarlock will receive more than $8,000 in scholarships and prizes and will represent NSU in June’s Miss Louisiana Pageant.
Jarlock is a junior theatre major with a concentration in musical theatre and dance. She is event coordinator on the Student Activities Board and president of the Student Theatre Organization. Jarlock is a member of the Demon Dazzlers and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.
Jourdan Waddell of Slidell was first runner up and Aly Jacobs of Houston was second runner up. Abigail Reynolds of Minden was third runner up and Reagan Escude’ of Shreveport was fourth runner up.
Jarlock won the talent award and Reynolds took the swimsuit competition. Waddell won the Liz Carroll People’s Choice Award voted on by the pageant audience. Madison Farquhar of Minden was named Miss Congeniality. Emily Bencosme of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, was given the Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Maker Award for her fundraising efforts on behalf of the organization.
