The Natchitoches Recreational and Parks Department hosted this year’s football jamboree Saturday, Sept. 21. The “Natural Talent” teams competed against Many for the opening of the season. They have three teams in the 6-7, 8-9 and 10-11 age groups. The teams showed their passion for the game, natural athleticism and competitive nature against the Many teams. With strong blocks, speedy touchdowns and cheers from parents, Natchitoches’ recreational football league has a great season ahead of them. Throughout the season they will compete against teams from Many, Leesville and Ft. Polk. They will have season games Sept. 30 at Leesville, Oct. 7 at Many and Oct. 14 at Ft. Polk. The Championship will be Oct. 21 at the Natchitoches Junior High field.
