Representatives from Northwestern State University toured Fort Polk last week during a meeting hosted by Commanding JRTC and Fort Polk Major General Gary Brito. The contingency drove by Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital and visited the DHR Library and Education Center where they spoke to the education services officer and director of human resources before visiting the Folk Polk Military Museum. At headquarters, Brito briefed the group about the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk and was receptive to information about NSU’s Leesville/Fort Polk campus and incentives for soldiers and their families.
