Monday, Sept. 25

I thought I would show you some of the newer things in Campti and some of the older ones too. First, at the old antique shop, a part of the building is being used as a Just for Jesus Spiritual Clinic. It has body and souls spirit restoration for depression, sickness, financial addiction and spiritual welfare. This could be a good thing. Several ladies from Campti will go to Houston to help hurricane victims.

A Christian group organizes this and I do not know who all is going but I know Beverly Sauce is. She is a nurse. My daughter, Glenda, will go. I guess I will hear a lot when they get back. I hate to complain but I have been dealing with muscle spasms and skin cancers on my neck and ears. It is not good. I am sorry I am going to miss three weeks of church. October activities at the library are Columbus Day Oct. 9, wreath making Oct. 16, Oct. 30 at 10:30 a.m.; trick or treat Oct. 30; story time coloring a crafts, Sept. 4, 11, 18, 25; computer classes Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26; face panting Friday, Oct. 27 at Smokin’ on the Read Festival.

The book mobile will be in the parade Oct. 28. Ben Dupree, a Goldonna native who has written several books, will sign books from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 14. Howard Bamburg has a workshop on the hill on Hwy. 71 at the old Zoe Jan Motel site. It is very easy to find. If you have something you want made from wood, stop by and talk to him about it.
