Natchitoches residents got their first glimpse of the 2017 Christmas season with the unveiling of the official Christmas Festival Poster Oct. 5 at Dickens and Co.
Artist Rakeya Walker, right, unveiled the poster with the help of Miss Merry Christmas Makenzie Methvin and the Christmas Belles. The poster has no official title. Walker grew up in Natchitoches and was an arts student at Northwestern State University.
Official Christmas Festival Poster prints can be picked up at Natchitoches Community Development, located at 420 Fourth St. Posters are 18X24 and cost $35. They come with a mini poster. Mini posters are sold separately for $3.
