A service to honor the life of Fred Cortez Bolton was at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16 at The Mora House of Prayer. Burial followed at Mora Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Freddie Bolton, 74, and a resident of Mora, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2017. He was born Friday, March 19, 1943, in Mora to Hazel Basco Bolton and William Curtis Bolton.
He was a Natchitoches Parish school bus driver and retired with over 30 years of service. An original member and president of Cypress Branch Hunting Club, he loved the outdoor life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Glendean Bolton; children, Fredda Burns and husband Michael, Freida Bolton, and Corky Bolton and wife Tammy; stepchildren, Kelvin Dean and wife Vickie, Kurt Dean and wife Teresa, and Kenny Dean and wife Debbie. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Michaela, Mickayla, Mikalynn, Corey and Chandler; as well as five step-grandchildren, Danielle, Samantha, Isabel, Jacob and Micah.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Corey Troquille, Jon Cain, Corey Bolton, Chandler Bolton, Tommy Edwards, Bryan Bolton, Justin Bolton and Tim Bourn.
