Buddy Boswell officiating. Burial will follow at Provencal Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.
Donna Lindsey, 62, and a resident of Provencal, passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at her residence with her loved ones by her side. She was born Dec. 2, 1954, to Otha and Mayvonne Davis in Natchitoches.
A member of the Provencal United Pentecostal Church, she loved fellowship with her church family. Known by everyone as a hard worker, it seemed she never took a day off to relax. She was very proud of the appearance of her home and would tirelessly work in her yard with the help of her grandchildren. Spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, brought her so much joy. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend and was loved by all that knew her. She will be dearly missed but we take comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in heaven today.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Sanford Lindsey; daughter, Casey Rachal and husband Stevie; grandchildren, Hunter Rachal, Brayden Rachal and Camille Lindsey; siblings, JoAnn Edwards, Judy Scarborough and Otha Davis Jr.; and a very special niece, Tracy Warner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Troy Lindsey; and a granddaughter, Harley Ward Lindsey.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Barney Roberts, Dewayne Poe, Preston Vaughn, Scott Warner, John Edwards and Bill Rhodes.
Honorary pallbearers are Stevie Rachal, Brandon Heppner, Chad Edwards, Tanner Edwards, Logan McCollum, Hayden Warner, Jacob Davis, Josh Davis, Scott Alexander and Vernon Garner.
