National Night Out was Oct. 3 at Roque Brothers Pecan Shed. There was a nice crowd and four deputies. The deputies spoke about their jobs and answered questions from the crowd. It was a very informative meeting.

Kathie Roque prepared taco soup and sausage jambalaya. Julius LaCour made hog head cheese. Janet Jones took brownies. It was an interesting evening. St. Augustine Catholic Church Fair begins with a fish fry Friday evening from 5-11 p.m. There will be a dance in the church hall featuring DJ Rob Reel.

Saturday and Sunday, there will be Cane River cuisine for sale, bike rides and music. Masses will be Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. Music those two days will be by DJ Doc Couty and Butchie Wutchie. See you there.
