Northwestern State University’s vocal program will present a fundraising concert at Trinity Episcopal Church on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 533 Second St. in Natchitoches.
All funds raised from the concert will be used to assist students with the cost of participating in the regional National Association of Teachers of Singing competition at the University of Southern Mississippi on Nov. 8-11. Ten NSU students will compete against peers from colleges and universities in Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas.
Representing Northwestern State will be Nadya Cesario of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Amanda Mustian of Lake Charles, Jenson Wall of Denham Springs, Aaron Rogers of Amarillo, Texas, Michael Martin of Alexandria, Billy Gorr of Houma, Amanda Charles of Houston, Emily Adams of Raceland, Morgan McCrory of Deville andValentina Herazo of Cartagena, Colombia.
Three Northwestern State students competed in the final round of last year’s competition with two winning first place.
