The Lakeview High School class of 2007 hosted their 10 year reunion Oct. 13-14. Earlier this year, the class hosted a school supply drive for the school. At the homecoming game Friday night, the class cooked, fellowshipped, gave out prizes and played music as the Gators played the Red River Bulldogs.
At halftime, the alum presented a framed fight song as their class gift to the school. “We hope that having this hanging in the hallways, so it will give the students a sense of unity and school pride, like we had 10 years ago,” said alum Micah Elliott Foshee. The plaque reads, “Dedicated to LHS by the Class of 2007. Thanks for the memories!”
On Saturday night, the class had dinner on Front Street and enjoyed a night of laughing, talking and catching up on old times and new. “One thing I realized that night was this: No matter our age, race, religion, etc., we all love each other and appreciate the friendships that developed in those hallways.
I can truly say the Class of 2007 was the best class Lakeview has ever seen,” Foshee said.
