The Chiefs went on the road looking for their
second district win in a row against the Ouachita
    Lions.
A win Friday night would allow the Chiefs to
control their own destiny for a playoff berth. Both
teams were coming off a 1-1 record in District 2-5A
race, so a win here would be crucial for either team.
After receiving the opening kickoff, the Chiefs would
march 69-yards down the field using a mixture of
run and pass plays. This combination would help keep
the Lions off balance. On the fourth play from
scrimmage the Chiefs’ Trey Solitaire would find the
end zone on a go-ahead touchdown pass from Jaylin
White. Dylan Price would add the extra point putting
the Chiefs on the score board 7-0 with 9:45 left in
    the 1st quarter.
The Lions would answer immediately on their opening drive.
Jabari Johnson would deliver a 69-yard passing touchdown to Josh Newton and
extra point kick by Christian Kukal to tie the score 7-7 with 8:08 left in the 1st
    quarter.
The Chiefs’ offense would take the field for their second possession of the game but after a quick three and out the Chiefs were forced to punt the ball away to
Ouachita. It would take the Lions seven plays to score again with Dylan Roberts capping off the drive with a 17-yard touchdown run and extra point kick
by Kukal, putting the Lions in front 14-7.
The Lions would go on a tear, scoring 6 unanswered touchdowns making the score 54-7 in favor of the Lions. Unfortunately, the Chiefs last scoring drive
was a 1-yard touchdown run by Jaylin White and extra point kick by Dylan Price made the score 54-17 in favor of Ouachita in the 4th quarter
with 7:03 left in the game.
Neither team would score again, making the final score Lions 54
    Chiefs 14.
The Chiefs had many bright spots to build on for next week against the Ruston Bearcats.
Jaylan White led in passing with 12 attempts and 6 completions for a total of 110 passing yards. Trey Solitaire led in receiving with 3 receptions for a total
of 85-yards. Jeremiah Aaron had 2 catches totaling 17-yards and Nick Ficklin had 1 catch for 8-yards.
In the rushing department the Chiefs accounted for a total of 223 rushing yards led by Josh Fortenberry with 21 carries for 177 yards. Jaylan White rushed 12 times for 83-yards, Trey Solitaire rushed 4 times for 21-yards and Jeremiah Aaron rushed 3 times for
    18-yards.
