Bro. Jay Jones preached on 1 Samuel 3:12-17 Sunday.  This is about Samuel, a boy in the house of his father, Eli. The scripture is about when the Lord spoke to Samuel for the first time.  The only way to walk with God is to have your house in order. 1. Maybe your character is out of order because your mouth is out of order.  Your mouth shows who you are. 2. Your mind is out of order.

Your mind needs to be on things above. 3. Your heart is out of order.  Everything else will come to the center of your life when God puts your heart in order.  4. Your ears are out of order.  You allow other things to enter in. Two places that have to be in order are your marriage and your home.  God intends for the church to be in order. Old Bethel Fall Family Night is Oct. 22 at 4 p.m.  There will be a pumpkin carving contest, pie- -eating contest, carnival games, trunk-or-treat, hot dogs, S’mores and a hayride.

Malcolm and I got to go to the Zwolle Hot Tamale Festival.  We went to meet my two sisters, Dora Lopez and Peggy Cochran, and her Peggy’s daughter, Sandi Haywood, and her daughter, Hanna, at the festival.  We had a good time at the festival.  We bought four dozen hot tamales and went to Peggy’s camp house to eat supper.
