The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame hosted “A Life Playing the Blues: A Musical Informance with Hardrick Rivers Saturday, Oct. 21.
During the program, Rivers discussed how he started playing music at an early age, his family life and his musical career today during his interview with Director of the Folklife Center at NSU Dr. Shane Rasmussen. Rivers and members of his band, Rivers Revue, entertained the crowd with music throughout the program.
Rivers was also honored as a Louisiana Tradition Bearer before the program. He received a certificate as well as a copy of the official proclamation by Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser declaring October as Folklife Month in Louisiana.
