The Southland Conference and its television partners have revealed game selections and broadcast times for football games to be played Saturday, Nov. 11.
The Southland-ESPN3 Game of the Week features the nation’s 5th ranked Sam Houston State Bearkats at Abilene Christian. The Wildcats own a 12-10-1 edge in the all-time series, but SHSU has won four straight.
Cox Sports Television will feature Louisiana rivals Northwestern State and McNeese. The Cowboys have won 12 consecutive games against the Demons, including a 48-27 triumph last season as quarterback James Tabary threw for 384 yards and three touchdowns. The game will be simulcast on ESPN3 outside CST’s territory.
ESPN3 will also feature two other games that afternoon. Lamar visits Houston Baptist, while Nicholls goes to Stephen F. Austin.
UIW-TV is set to carry a matchup between 4th ranked Central Arkansas and UIW. The broadcast will be streamed via the Cardinals’ Stretch Internet portal.
For games in October and November, the Southland reveals a majority of its television selections 12 days prior to kickoff. This allows for the best matchups to be selected each week for various broadcast partners. Choices for Nov 4 were announced last Monday.
