The leaves are beginning to fall as are the pine needles. It’s time to begin raking the yard. Thank God I am blessed with grandkids. It’s also the season for carnivals, tours of homes and beautiful fall decorations of pumpkins, scarecrows and many other decors for Halloween. Remember the little ones Oct. 31 when you are driving. Remember not to speed . I want to thank La. DOTD for repairing a 1-mile stretch on Hwy. 485 toward Robeline.
It was difficult to get to the Dollar Store to buy a few items without driving to Hwy. 6 which is out of the way. Condolences to the Gay family at the going home of Ms. Barbara “Joyce” Gay Tousant Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017. You will always be in my heart. Her mother, Rosie Gay, was our bible study teacher at Evergreen Baptist Church for many years.
Condolences to the families who have lost loved ones. Happy birthday to my grandson, Bearian Smith, Oct. 16; my mother, Moma, Oct. 24. It’s been 19 years since the Lord called you to his heavenly home. I have fond memories of the years of growing up and your teachings. I’ll always love you Moma. I miss your voice and corrections. You never get too old to listen to your elders. Rest in peace. I love you very much. Happy birthday to everyone who had one in October.
