Bro. Jay preached on Acts 4:12 Sunday at Old Bethel Baptist.  His title was, “His Name.”  He said, “There is something significant about names.  Many people will worship a name, such Ala, Mohamed and Buddha. The name above all names is Jesus.” A group from Old Bethel Church went to First Baptist Winnfield Sunday evening to see “Judgement House.” There were 22 people that enjoyed the program. Friday night was the last fish fry for the year at Clara Springs.  Old Pisgah Baptist Church cooked and served 381 people.  The fish was delicious as always. Chordsmith Quartet was in concert in the dining hall.

They sang beautiful gospel songs.  Chordsmith members are tenor Todd Dubose, lead Jake Cowlet, baritone Nathan  Davidson and bass Keith Lee.  They are from Minden. Friday night Malcolm and I had our grandsons, Austin and Lane, join us at the fish fry.  They were excited to be at the camp. They hardly ate but enjoyed playing basketball with Blake Matkin under the pavilion at Clara Springs. Today, Thursday, is the Natchitoches Association prayer breakfast at Trinity Baptist Church at 8 a.m.  Trinity senior luncheon is Thursday, Nov. 9.  Doris Garlington will be the guest.  It is covered dish.
