Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. James “Jimmy” Parker III, 54, were at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10 at Jennings Chapel in Marthaville with the Rev. Brian Ray and the Rev. Butch Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Marthaville.
Jimmy was born Sept. 19, 1963, to J.D. and Patsye Parker in Shreveport and entered into rest Nov. 8, 2017, in Logansport. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Riley Parker, Jake Whitten and Matt Whitten and fiancé Kaitlynn Freeman; daughter, Kailey Parker; grandchildren, Tegan, Sawyer, Ryleigh, Ainsley and Levi; brother, Jerry Parker and wife Melissa; sister, Georgia Lynn Hilton and husband Mike; nieces, Kayla Walsworth and husband Chris, Morgan Moore and husband Kendrick, and Sara Gunter and husband Corey; and nephew, Michael Hilton.
Honoring the life of Jimmy as pallbearers were Jake Whitten, Michael Hilton, Matt Whitten, Chris Walsworth, Kendrick Moore and Doug Birdwell.
