Northwestern State University’s School of Business/Computer Information Systems program participated in Computer Science Education Week by hosting Hour of Code sessions for nearly 500 elementary and middle school students. Hour of Code is a worldwide movement to introduce youngsters to computer coding in a fun and engaging way. In addition to Business faculty, NSU students helped with the program as part of their service-learning initiatives. NSU’s CIS program also sponsord the Demons Coding Club for students in third through eighth grade and offers the Demons Tech Clinic open to all ages for help with phones, tablets, PCs, Macs, hardware and software.
