At 7:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, the Natchitoches Police Department received a call reporting a robbery had just occurred outside City Bank, 430 Keyser Ave., near the deposit drop box. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who advised she was making a business deposit in the drop box when she was approached by a black male wearing a black hoodie and black pants. The male subject grabbed the deposit bags and fled on foot to a nearby neighborhood.
Officers and investigators with Natchitoches Police Department immediately blanketed the area and an investigation ensued. During a search of the area investigators recovered one of the bags and contents as evidence. This investigation is ongoing at this time.
The victim was not injured during this incident. She described the suspect as a black male having a slender build and is approximately 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 8 iinches.
