Kristyn Nicole Hoffpauir, 15, of Atlanta passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2017.
Born Friday, June 2, 2002, in Shreveport “Krissy” was a loving, God fearing young lady. She loved the Lord and her family with all her heart.
Krissy was loved by everyone she came in contact with both young and old. She loved all babies and they loved her. She was her daddy’s angel and her mommy’s best friend. She loved horses and hog hunting with her daddy and brother. Her brother was her best friend. She was a rodeo queen and loved her dogs. Her love of God, family and rodeo will live on forever.
She was a member of Atlanta Baptist Church where she was active in the youth group and Bible Drill program. She was also an active member of the Winn Parish 4-H club, LaSalle, Catahoula and Winn Parish Riding Clubs, American Auxiliary and volunteered for many community projects. Krissy was a leader in home schooling and all group activities. She will ALWAYS be remembered and NEVER forgotten.
Krissy was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, J.J. “Papa Bud” Buswell, Norman Layfield, Hulen Landry, C.E. “Papa Charlie” Beach and Margie “Nana” Aycock; and her great-great grandfather, John Ross Wallace.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Quinton and Kandace Buswell Hoffpauir; brother, John Wade Hoffpauir; grandparents, Tim and Joan Buswell, Mike and Gina Layfield, and Mickey and Jeannie Hoffpauir; great-grandparents, Nila Buswell, Lorraine Landry and Evelyn Layfield; great-great grandmother, Gaynell Wallace; aunts and uncles, Weston and Danielle Sullivan, Chris and Jodie Melancon, Collin Williams, Chase and Kelli Hoffpauir, and Nathan and Rebecca Hoffpauir; cousins, Emma and Lane Sullivan, Jacob Hoffpauir, Emmett and Eden Melancon; biological father, Michael Lester; and biological grandparents, Peggy and Bobby Cooper.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 in the Family Life Center of Atlanta Baptist Church with the Reverends Dusty Durbin and Scott Tilton officiating. Interment will follow in Atlanta Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center of Atlanta Baptist Church Thursday, Dec. 21 from 5-10 p.m. and again Friday from 1 p.m. until time of services.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Josh Beach, Chase Hoffpauir, Nathan Hoffpauir, Collin Williams, Lavon Hanson, Weston Sullivan, Chad Thomisee and Jeremiah Womack.
Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Thomisee and Pat Brunson.
Memorial donations may be made to the Winn Parish 4-H at 119 West Main St., Suite No. 4, Winnfield, LA 71483 for the Winn Parish 4H Horse Show.
