Funeral service for Sarah Virginia Price will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Price and Bro. Steve McAlister officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Sarah Price, 88, and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017. She was born Nov. 19, 1928, to Richard Heath Lee and Agnes Myrtle (Lay) Lee in Ashland.
She worked for Exchange Bank and the Natchitoches Parish School Board but her greatest profession was the care for her family. She was founded in her faith of her savior Jesus Christ and attended First Baptist of Natchitoches many years. She was also a charter member of Grand Ecore Road Baptist Church in Natchitoches. For many summers, she enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School classes to the area children. She really enjoyed fishing, spending time at their camp with family and friends and traveling extensively and seeing many places with Glynn. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She will be missed by her husband of 70 years, Eddie Glynn Price; sons, Randy Glynn Price and wife Christie of Natchitoches and Brian Keith Price of New Orleans; daughter, Judy Annette Mangum of Shreveport; grandson, Justin Price of Shreveport; as well as one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Adelle Flenniken, Carolyn Lee, Nolan Lee and Richard Lee Jr.; as well as a grandson, Derek Price.
