President Trump’s new tax laws place a $10,000 cap on property tax deductions. Some states are allowing the 2018 property taxes to be paid a year in advance for the income tax savings.
The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office said that locally, the 2018 taxes cannot be paid a year early because the tax rolls are not prepared until later in the year.
