Speakers announced for MLK Day Youth Program

Keynote speaker for the MLK Day Youth Program, Monday, Jan. 15 will be Natchitoches native and citizen the Rev. Brad Holden. The event will be at noon at the MLK Center. Holden is pastor of Antioch #2 Baptist Church in Mansfield. Holden is a 2000 graduate of Lakeview High School and furthered his education at NSU where he was a member of the football team. He is the son of the Rev. Ronnie Washington and Fannie Holden. He and wife Carlaona, an NCHS graduate, have three children.

Pastor Maurice A. Rogers will speak at 6 p.m. during the closing program. Rogers was born in Shreveport but grew up in Keatchie. He has been a licensed mortician since 1990 and was called to the ministry in 1995. He was installed as pastor of Red River COGIC in 2000 and has served as Mansfield District Secretary since 1998. He is married to Linda Logan Rogers, has three children and four grandchildren.
