•••St. Mary’s will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to expected inclement weather and hazardous road conditions.
Decisions will be made on a day by day basis.
•••Natchitoches Parish President Rick Nowlin announced Head Start Centers in Natchitoches and DeSoto Parishes will be closed all day Tuesday due to the extreme weather conditions forecast for the area.
Parents and guardians of our head start children are asked to keep the children home or make other arrangements for their care tomorrow.
Head Start staff members are to report to work unless road conditions would make travel dangerous, especially in rural areas. Parish policy regarding inclement weather shall apply to those employees who cannot report to work for all or part of the day due to the weather and road conditions.
Other Parish offices will be open tomorrow, but employees are also encouraged to exercise caution when traveling.
•••This is a message from Dale Skinner, Superintendent of Natchitoches Parish Schools. All Natchitoches Parish Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16 due to predicted hazardous weather conditions, including the possibility of snow, sleet and freezing rain. You will be contacted if there will be additional days of closure. Student safety is always our first concern, please be safe during this time. Also, Student of the Year interviews will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
•••Northwestern State University campuses will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 16 due to weather conditions, according to NSU President Dr. Chris Maggio.
Iberville Dining Hall will operate under normal hours during the closure assuming employees can get to campus.
Tuesday would have been the first day of class of the Spring 2017 semester.
••• Due to the winter storm warning issued for Tuesday, Jan. 16, the Natchitoches Parish Tourist Commission has cancelled their regular scheduled meeting. The office will be closed for the day.
•••LSUS will be closed tomorrow (1/16/18) due to inclement weather.
•••Due to forecasted weather conditions, all campuses of Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16. CLTCC will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 17.
