Mr. Danny Ray Hinton Sr., 72, of North Hodge, passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at his residence following a period of declining health.  Mr. Hinton had worked as a bag adjuster with the bag mill, was a chicken and hog farmer and prior to retirement was in the maintenance department at the Dodson Weyerhauser Sawmill. He was a Mason and a Shriner. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18 at Edmonds Funeral Home, Jonesboro, with the Rev. Geary Phillips officiating.  Interment was at Gayla Traina Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Hinton is survived by sons, Danny Hinton and Janet and Eric Hinton; grandchildren, Dan Hinton III, Terra Hinton, Ansley Toms and Ashlyn Jade Hinton; sisters, Sally Doughty, Ethel Moak and Gloria Parrino; brothers, Neil Hinton and Gerald Hinton; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends; special friends, Buster Tumlin, Tony Duffey and Cleve Robinson.

Preceding Mr. Hinton in death were his wife of 51 years, Juanita Smith Hinton; parents, Benjamin Franklin and Alice Mae (Cordova) Hinton; brothers, Mickey Hinton, Benny Hinton; and sister, Bonnie Butler.
