Marthaville News Monday, Feb. 5  There was more than the Super Bowl that had everyone excited last weekend since two weddings took place.  Joe Hendrickson and Jenny Crump were wed Feb. 3, 2018 at the home of Joe’s brother and his wife, Josh and Catherine Hendrickson.  Bro. Donnie Paul Lewing officiated.  Joe’s youngest son, Brant, stood up for his dad as best man and Jenny’s sister, Jamie Carnline, was her maid of honor. Jenny is the daughter of Tim and Robbie Crump of Natchitoches.  Jenny’s grandparents are the late Bud and Joyce Crump of Marthaville.  Jenny is employed at the Bank of Montgomery in Natchitoches. Joe is the son of Bryan and Tina Hendrickson of the Mt. Zion community. Joe is the father of Braden, Brannen and Brant Hendrickson. He is employed with Jenkins Logging Co.   Around 25 attended the wedding. After honeymooning in Hot Springs, Ark., the newlyweds will reside in the Mt. Zion community. Family and friends met at the home of James and Sissy Tatum of Marthaville for the wedding of Tiffany Rena Tatum and Robert Christopher Brevelle Feb. 4, 2018.  Rev. Earnest Rains officiated.  Tiffany’s dad, James Tatum, gave his daughter away. Standing up for her were her daughters, Raven Norris and Jadyan Tyler.  Tiffany’s sons, Blaine Possoit and Kolby Norris, stood up for Robert.   The happy couple will reside in Natchitoches.  Robert is employed at Bentler Steel in Shreveport.  A honeymoon is planned later. Ashton Cruse is the La. Tech Society of American Foresters Student-of-the-Year.  She has been Tech Foresters secretary for the last three years and an ambassador for the last four years. She competed in Conclave, a lumber jack competition, for the last three years and had an internship with a timber company. She has a 3.4 GPA. When Ashton graduates in May, her parents, Stacy and Kristene Cruse, will have three daughters with college degrees and one more to come in the year 2019.  Ashton is the third generation to work in forestry.  Her grandparents are Pete and Melba Cruse of Marthaville; Sheron and Jim Alphin of Melrose, N.M., and the late Lonnie Wagley.   The father-daughter dance is Feb. 16 and is by reservation only.  Payments and tickets are due by Feb. 12.  Call Marthaville school for more info. Registration dates for summer baseball will be Feb. 11 and Feb. 25, from 1-3 p.m. each day.  Location will be announced later.  If your child did not play at Marthaville last year, then you must take a copy of their birth certificate and the cost will be $45 per child.        Pic 1 – Happily married Feb. 3 were Joe Hendrickson and Jenny Crump.
