A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning.

There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms on Tuesday and a slight risk of severe thunderstorms on Wednesday.

Timing and Overview:

Showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall will increase in coverage on Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening with a second round of heavy rainfall on Wednesday night. Additionally, there is a threat of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and tornadoes during the afternoon and evening hours of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Four State Impacts:

Expected Accumulations:  Around two to three inches of rainfall may be possible mainly along and north of interstate 20.

Impacts: Because of swollen rivers and lakes from previous rainfall, two to three inches of heavy rain will add to the ongoing river flood situation. Additionally, due to saturated soils, flash flooding will be likely.
