Carol Imelda Balthazar, CEO/President of Balthazar Enterprises, Inc., passed away peacefully Friday, March 9, 2018, at 9:45 a.m. at the age of 66 Lambeth House in New Orleans.

Carol was the loving daughter of the late Carroll A. and Frances Sers Balthazar Jr.; granddaughter of the late Carroll A. and Cora Marinovich Balthazar Sr. and Louis and Frances Sers Sr.; sister of Faustina “Tina” Balthazar (Anthony “Tony”) Rucker of Mercerville, NJ; cousin/“sister” of Clida Martinez (Leonard) Ellison of Detroit, Mich., and Priscilla (Wendell Wilson) Metoyer of Shreveport; cousin/“brother” of Thaddeus “Thad” (Rita) Jones of Detroit, Mich., and Edward Roy (Janna) Metoyer of Houston, Texas; niece of Patricia (Noble) Moran of Shreveport, Daisy Conant of Gardenia, Calif., Carrie Sers, Sylvester Sers, both of Cane River, and Anthony “Tony” (Doris) Sers of Albuerque, N.M.; cousin/“niece” of Greta Burns of New Orleans, Ruby Cooper of Shreveport and Gloria Jones of Cane River.

She is also survived by a host of cousins, employees, colleagues and friends; relatives, friends, colleagues, priest and parishioners of St. Augustine Catholic of New Orleans and St. Augustine Catholic Church of Isle Brevelle, Natchez, employees of Balthazar Electriks, Inc., board members, faculty and students of Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp and The Collaborative.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1210 Gov. Nicholls St., New Orleans, Thursday, March 15 at 11:30 a.m. with Father Emmanuel Mulenga, OMI, as Celebrant. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with Rosary at 10 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 2262 Hwy 484, (Isle Brevelle), Natchez, Saturday, March 17 at noon with the Rev. Father Charlie Ray as Celebrant. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery.
