Outpatient Medical Center Inc. presented it’s Community Report at a recent Lion’s Club meeting. CEO Carl Walters II said 2017 was an amazing year for OMC. He said there were several new hires and promotions during the year. The Center also expanded their services to include school-based health centers, substance abuse services, expanded lab services, dental services and tobacco cessation counseling among others. Health system highlights include 209 community health fairs, 848 flu shots given, 63 pneumonia shots, reduced patient time per visit from over two hours to less than one hour, saw 19,233 patients and treated over 1,100 seniors among other things. OMC has three locations, 1640 Breazeal Spring St., Natchitoches; 908 South 10th St., Leesville; and 804 Beech St., Tallulah. “We are currently exploring how we can offer expanded primary care services,” Walters said. “At Outpatient Medical Center Inc., it is not about the money. It’s about – you. Whether you have the ability to pay for services or not has no bearing on the compassionate, personal, professional services you will receive when you visit one of our health centers.”
