LitCon March 21

201

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Department of English, Foreign Languages and Cultural Studies will host LitCon from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 in Orville Hanchey Gallery.  The event will include Q and A sessions to address self-publishing, films, traditional publishing and academic publishing, featured authors, literary cosplay contest and pop-up poetry.

Admission is free and open to the public.

“LitCon is an opportunity for students and community to hang with the humanities and see how they all work together and the benefit to dipping your toes in the water and testing the stream,” said Oona Zbitkovskis, an event organizer. “Writers, artists and illustrators will have tables where you can stop and have a chat and see what they are working on. It’s meant to showcase all of the fun things that can be done and are being explored in a relaxed setting.  There are laid back Q & A sessions that discuss a variety of topics, from illustrating to academic publishing and what is happening at the library.”
