2018 NHS St. Pat’s Children and Pet Parade

Children and pets paraded down Natchitoches’ Front, Church and Second Street, decked out in St. Paddy’s Day attire, Saturday, March 17. The parade, hosted by the Natchitoches Humane Society, was originally going to be on Mardi Gras, but it was rained out. Nevertheless, the new St. Patrick’s Day themed parade turned out to be a huge hit, and according to NHS President Juanita Murphy, future parades will now be on St. Patrick’s Day.

Awards for the best floats and costumes were announced at the end of the parade route, at the City Park on Second Street.

Winners at the NHS St. Pat’s Children and Pet Parade were:

First place Children’s Costume – Easton Graves, son of Haley and Blake Graves
