Graveside services for Mrs. Elsie Rae Freeman Swindle Taggart will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27 at Memory Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. John Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches.
Elsie, 86, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, in Shreveport. She was born May 12, 1931, to Roy and Clara Freeman in Lake End.
She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her church and the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aaron Swindle; daughter, Debbie Swindle Simmons; and brothers, Thurman Freeman, Billy Freeman and Harold Freeman.
She is survived by her children, Carla Swindle Fullerton, and Gary Swindle and wife Alicen; 10 grandchildren, Gretchen Murchison, Lori Vallery, Cesilee Kendall, John Simmons, Kyle Stringer, Cory Simmons, Amanda Hice, Jennifer Powell, Philip Simmons and Lauren Ford; as well as 16 great-grandchildren.
