Widespread showers and thunderstorms will gradually exit the region to the east by mid day, with a few lingering showers and thunderstorms possible across our northern areas along the I-30 corridor. Dry weather is expected by this evening, with a slightly cooler airmass settling in over the region during the overnight hours.
