The NSU Horn Choir will perform Wednesday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall.  Admission is free and open to the public.

Ensemble director Dr. Kristine Coreil, a professor of horn in the School of Creative and Performing Arts, said the concert “will feature something for everybody.” The Horn Choir will play a transcription of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, an arrangement of the Latin standard “Tico Tico,” some original German hunting horn pieces and some original pieces for horn ensemble.  Two graduate students, Howard Middleton of Houston and Joshua Waldrop of Benton, will be featured soloists.  Added percussion will enhance two of the pieces, featuring Latin percussion and timpani.

The Horn Choir is comprised of music majors and minors from NSU and horn students from the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts.  Coreil said the concert will be livestreamed at capa.nsula.edu/livestream.
