Jerry Glen Gilcrease died suddenly April 24, 2018, while in Thailand. He was born Dec. 26, 1954, in Montgomery, La. There will be a memorial service at a later time.
Jerry was employed in the oilfield industry his entire adult life. Through his work, he traveled the world. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Glen Gilcrease and two sisters, Glenda Gail Gilcrease and Janie Marquitta Gilcrease.
He is survived by his mother, Gwen Bernard of Lafayette; step-mother, Janet Gilcrease of Montgomery; daughers, Miranda Gilcrease of Natchitoches, Maddie Gilcrease of Comox, British Colombia, Canada and Alexandra Stranberg of Comox, British Columbia, Canada; son, Bruce Gilcrease and wife Sarah of Lafayette; sisters, Daphne Pilcher and husband Kevin; step-sisters, Pat and Cindy; and five grandchildren.
