Home going services for Mrs. Betty Jean Jordan will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Boswell officiating. Burial will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Provencal. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 7 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jordan, 83, and a resident of Provencal passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, in Natchitoches. She was born Dec. 6, 1934, to L.D. and Lillian (Arnold) Williams in Natchitoches.
Betty held the greatest profession on earth, she was a homemaker. Taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren brought her so much joy. She will be dearly missed but always remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Lillian Williams; siblings, Pat Ferrier, Alma Pittman and M.C. Williams; and three grandchildren, Stephanie Nicole Butler, Jason Earl Jordan and Jamie Jordan.
She is survived by her husband, Ray “Cooter” Jordan; children, Reba Edwards and husband David, Ronnie Jordan and wife Sandra, Terry Jordan, Early “Pete” Jordan and wife Susan, Bonnie Council, and Brenda Butler; and a brother, Preston Williams and wife Patty. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
