School Board recognizes Students of the Year

The Natchitoches Parish School Board recognized Students-of-the Year at the committee meeting Tuesday. From left are Supt. Dale Skinner, middle school winner Tinley Durr from Marthaville, elementary winner Gracie Moore from NSU E-Lab, high school winner Joshua Fortenberry from Natchitoches Central and contest director Anita Dubois who is director of child welfare and attenance. Each school selects a winner that competes at the parish level. Those students submit a portfolio and undergo an interview. The contest is sponsored by the La. Dept. of Education. Student-of-the-Year judges were Annie Oliphant, Dion Boyett, Dennis Breland, Linda Page, Carmella McCart, Corey Poole, Reba Phelps and Juanice Gray.
