Keyser Avenue rollover crash

On May 12 at 1:15 p.m. NPD officers were dispatched to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Keyser Avenue and Williams Avenue. Once on the scene, officers saw a 2016 Dodge Journey was positioned on its side. The driver of the vehicle and one passenger were still inside. Both were assisted out of the vehicle by the Natchitoches Police Department and Natchitoches Parish Ambulance Service.

The driver, Thijuana Miller, 34, of Coushatta, was traveling south on Williams Avenue when she came to the intersection of Keyser Avenue. She was in the intersection attempting to turn left onto Keyser Avenue when her vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by a 2012 Ford F-150.

The driver of the truck, David Burke, 40, of Livonia, was traveling west on Keyser Avenue. He allegedly ran a red light and struck Miller’s vehicle causing it to roll over on its passenger side. The driver of the truck was issued a citation for disobeying a traffic signal. The vehicles were towed from the scene.

Both drivers and the passenger were examined by Natchitoches Ambulance Service and released from the scene. No injuries were reported.
