The Natchitoches Central High School Track and Field Teams competed at the District Meet at Alexandria Senior High School April 18. Both boys and girls teams finished fourth in district competition.
The boys team had two District champs with Desmond Vaughn winning the high jump and Cooper Miller winning the 1600 meter run.
The boys team also placed in the top three for the following events: De’Jon Blake placed second in the 400 meter run; Colt Deblieux, second in javelin; Dwan Stuckey, third in 800 meter run; Cooper Miller, third in the 3200 meter run; Anthony Moses, third in the 300 meter hurdles; and the 4×200 meter relay and 4×400 meter relay teams placed third. The girls team also had two District champs with Otesha Jackson winning the long jump and Madison Brown winning both the 300 meter hurdles and pole vault.
The girls also had top three finishes for the following events: Sidney Bayonne, second in the 100 meter dash; Madison Brown, second in the 100 meter hurdles; Tymmia Helaire, third in the 100 meter dash; Catherine Roquemore, third in pole vault; Faith Duncantell, third in discuss; and the 4×100 meter relay team brought home a third place finish.
