After a week of touring the town of Winnfield. A male Black Bear estimated at 450 pounds was tranquilized and tagged by LDWF agents Friday, June 1.
Winn Parish deputies located the bear near the home of Winnfield resident Matt Walton. The bear was safely taken to Grant Parish where he will be returned to the wild.
