La. State Police Troop E investigated an automobile fire that occurred Friday, June 1 on Hwy 480 in the Grappes Bluff area. Law enforcement received the call of a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro on fire at 9:52 p.m.
Reginald Eric Craig, w/m, of Campti allegedly missed a turn and drove into a deep ditch. Attempts to reverse out of the ditch possibly caused dry grass to ignite. Aulbry Graves, above, with Fire Dist. 9 extinguishes the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
Craig was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with operating a vehicle with suspended license, careless operation and DWI-3rd offense.
