NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University will offer a Junior Lifeguarding Camp July 16-20 and July 23-27 at the Robert W. Wilson Rec Complex. The American Red Cross has introduced a revised Junior Lifeguarding program designed to guide youths ages 11-14 to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course. The course focuses on building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills of future lifeguards.
Participants will be able to complete requirements for an American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Certification good for a 2-year period.
The cost is $180 per participant. Classes will be from 1-4 p.m. each day. The Rec Complex is located at 6604 Hwy. 1 Bypass in Natchitoches.
