NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University is the Title Sponsor of the first annual Louisiana Young Professionals Conference to be held July 27 – 28. Van Erikson, NSU’s assistant director of Alumni Affairs, presented the sponsorship check to the Natchitoches Young Professional’s Conference Committee members Micah Foshee, BOM Marketing Assistant and NYP Board Member; Craig Caskey, Alliance Compressors Continuous Improvement Manager and NYP President, and Carrie Hough, BOM Vice President and Marketing Director and NYP board member.
The Louisiana Young Professionals Conference will kick off on Friday, July 27 with a social and registration at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Museum from 6-8 p.m. The event will include light appetizers, networking opportunities and door prizes for attendees from across the state. Registration will resume the following morning Saturday, July 28 at 8:30 a.m. at Chateau St. Denis and the conference will begin at 9 a.m. with keynote speaker Jay Toups of Retail Management Corporation. His presentation will feature “The Keys to Becoming a High Performer.”
There will be 12 breakout sessions on Saturday featuring speakers all across the United States. NSU President Dr. Chris Maggio will host a breakout session on empowerment. Other speakers will include Jet Ainsworth, radio and television writer, producer and on air talent of Jefferson City, Missouri, to host a breakout session on “How to go undefeated in everything, all the time.”
