Parish President Rick Nowlin was informed Wednesday, June 27 that Bobby Hughes, who was confirmed as the Parish’s new Director of Public Works at the June 18 Parish Council meeting, has decided not to accept the position. Hughes cited personal reasons for his decision and expressed regret to the Parish for not being able to accept the job.
The Parish will renew the search for a new permanent Director. Earl Townsend will continue in his role as the Interim Public Works Director.
