Dr. Jafar Al-Sharab, head of Northwestern State University’s Department of Engineering Technology, attended the 125th American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) conference in Salt Lake City June 23 – 27 where he gave two presentations related to STEM activities and the Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program at NSU. At the conference Al-Sharab attended the Campus Rep. meeting, Engineering Technology Department Heads meeting, Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department Heads meeting and Engineering Technology Division Business Meeting. In addition, Al-Sharab received an award from ASEE to attend the Advanced National Effective Teaching Institute workshop. ASEE is the largest, most diverse, and prestigious engineering education society in the United States. Since 1893, ASEE has been at the heart of engineering education and serves as the networking center among engineering colleges.
