The development of a 40-unit apartment complex will be on the City Council agenda at the meeting Monday, July 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Natchitoches Arts Center. There will be a pre-meeting at 5 p.m. for non-agenda items. The council will introduce an ordinance to rezone 1901 Texas Street from R-1, one family residence, to R-3 multiple family residence to develop a 40-unit, two-story family apartment complex.
The ordinance was approved by the City of Natchitoches Planning and Zoning commission and should be voted on at the July 23 meeting. Two other planning and zoning ordinances for introduction include:
•Rezone 215 Williams Ave. from R-1 One family residence to R-1 Special exception for legal office
•Rezone 640 Bossier St. from R-2 multiple family residence to R-3 multiple family residents to build a four-unit, two-story apartment building
The Council will consider three resolutions that include:
•Appoint Gil Gilson to fill the unexpired term of Marcus Jones as a commissioner on the Natchitoches Airport Advisory Commission
•Execute change order No. 1 from Progressive Construction Co. on the St. Denis Water Line replacement and street rehabilitation project
•Support for the Application of a Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (Build) Transportation Discretionary Grant
