Renovations underway at Goldonna School

Some elementary classrooms will have new flooring by the onset of the school year. This room already has the new flooring, which was buffed to a shine, already complete.

School Board member Eugene Garner said construction and renovations are underway at Goldonna School.

These are some new AC units that will replace some of the older, less efficient units.

New air conditioning units are being installed to replace some older, less efficient units and the foundation has been prepared to pour concrete for an outdoor basketball court.The court will also be covered so students can utilize the court even in inclement weather.

Garner said lighting is being updated with new switches that will automatically turn off when there is no activity in the room for a predetermined period of time. This will result in utility savings.

Other renovations include the addition of a new computer lab for the junior high, new flooring in some classrooms in the elementary and renovations to restrooms in the upper class building.
